About Dr. Taylor
Dr. Chris Taylor, FRCSC is a certified plastic surgeon practicing in Victoria, British Columbia. After obtaining his medical degree from the University of British Columbia in 1993, he completed a rotating internship at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. In 1999, he then completed a five-year residency in plastic surgery at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Taylor completed the Plastic Surgery specialty exams with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1999, and returned to Vancouver Island, to work in Victoria. After a one-year fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at the Buncke Clinic/California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, he then went on to do further microsurgical training in Taipei.
In 2001, Dr. Taylor returned once again to Victoria, where he has since been in practice with the designation as a Fellow in Plastic Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He is honored to be the Medical Lead for Surgery at Royal Jubilee Hospital. Working with a dedicated group of seven plastic surgeons, the Division of Plastic Surgery provides cosmetic and reconstructive surgery locally as well as more complex procedures to the rest of Vancouver Island.
He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of British Columbia and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Victoria.
